REVERIE CAMP/ CONCERT

Concert is over, still it is not an excuse to be back to our old habits. During camp, you guys started to move faster which is good. Continue doing that when band practices resume after Christmas Day.

Just to remind you, sec 1 orientation is coming up next. Today, some of the seniors have hung banners all over the school. But that is not enough for the whole thing. IF any seniors asked you, sec 1s to sec 3s to help them in the preparation, PLEASE help them as they really need your help. Everybody got a lot of things to do, so you as a band member must also do your own part.

Those in the commttee, reminder to you to get your work done before the due date which i think is by next monday. We have to get everything ready before school starts, so we have not much time! Tomorrow band room will be open for usage, so PEOPLE use this opportunity to get things done! Jia you Jia you for the upcoming sec 1 orientation!

some admin stuff here..

• pls rmb to bring ur FULL set of band uniform (which includes the white long sleeved shirt, white skirt/white long pants, the band blazer, red tie, court shoes/marching shoes) sec 1s, i know you guys have not gotten ur blazer and white skirt/long pants yet.. so just bring all that you have tmr.
  
• the back gate will be open from 8.45am tmr morning for half an hour.
• the flag must be done by friday, u guys will start to draw tmr.. (those who asked me to get the cloth and paint, i buy alr.. but cos the paint is very ex, u guys haf to pay more..)
  
• audition tmr
  
• mr lim may be coming down tmr morning
• the room will be opened from 9-12 tmr.
• consent forms must hand-in by tmr..
• alumni, pls rmb to return ur band uniforms..
• SLs, u only left 2 more days to get ur souvenies, do it fast!!
  

i hope to see everyone at 9 tmr in the band room..
u may wear sch uniform or sch-related shirt..
pls start saving ur pe attires for the camp.

some things which Mr Lim said today:

1. bullet shape (tuba at 63 and eupho at 6 bars before 17)
2. exclaimation mark (clar: in the beginning and 3 bar after 148)
3. eupho, trom, tenor sax at 63 must be careful, take note of articulation
4. if u want to have good sound, must have the desire and determination to do it
5. sound heroic in the begining
6. BEAUTY
7. if ur music don't have beauty, it won't attract ppl..
8. happy thoughts at bar 17
9. happy and sensible students make good music
10. catch Mr Lim's hints..
11. try to let Mr Lim to do less while we do more
12. bar 108 and bar 115 must be in tune!!

• pls try to sell more tickets, ppl!! so far we only sold 78 tickets out of 400 tickets.. it's less than 25% and we're left with abt 3 days!!
