Hey guys!

Back to school! I hope you guys enjoyed your christmas and new year with your friends and family! :)

So how were you guys doing when i was gone? I heard you all are able to do your moves for whistle while you work..THATS GOOD! How about the second piece;7th night of July ? Are you guys coping it well? I heard it's a fast piece...but I know you guys can do it !

Well,i know most of you heard about the news from mrs chia right? So Many events this year and surely its going to be super exciting right? :D

But...for now,lets FOCUSE more on the orientation and the following events okay? Let's try our best to cooperate with one another during the talent scouting on Tuesday(10 Jan 2012) and do our very best to attract alot of new sec 1s alright! Just to remind you again Orientation will be on 14 January 2012 and we will be PERFORMING FIRST then we will showcase our instruments.

AMK performance!

Band!

We will be performing at AMK primary on next saturday which is on the 29th of October 2011!!

And EVERYONE is involve.

So basically,everyone will assemble in school first at 7.45am as usual.

Then Percussion,Flutes and Clarinets will hop on the bus first with mrs chia to go to AMK primary school to perform their pieces while the rest will have their normal practices.

Then at 9.30am,the Saxophone,Brasses and the Junior Band will pack up and leave with ms Pang to AMK primary while the Percussion,Flutes and Clarinets come back to school to resume normal practice.

This is the schedule on that day :

( IN ORDER)

0800-1000 : Percussion,Flutes,Clarinets

1000-1200 : Saxophones,Brasses and Junior Band

-- then come back to Peirce to be dismissed as a WHOLE band.

I know your pieces takes around 5-6 minutes and would not be abe to cover the whole 2 hours but here's the plan. For example for the group covering the 8am to 10am time slot,after clarinets finished playing their pieces,percussion will go back on stage again to perform their piece .

SO it's like a REPEATING CYCLE. Get it?

so please prepare your pieces and show what our band can do ! :)

Pls do not forget to invite your family members or friends to come for JUNIOR BAND IN CONCERT alright? You have to collect the money first before we give you the tickets to give to them. Juniors MUST at least sell 5 or more tickets and seniors sell the remaining ones. Each Ticket costs around $6.

When? : 15 November 2011

Where? : Singapore Conference Hall

Time? : 7.30pm -9.30pm (around there)

Take note that the audience MUST be seated by 7.15pm.

We will be collecting money on every practice as soon as possible.

And also, there's 29 more days till JBIC. Juniors, it's your first major performance, you would want to make it a memorable one, don't you? :)

Hey band members!

Its been a long time since we've gone back inside the band room because of our end of year exams :(

SO have you all been practicing your parts? If you have,that's good! If not,then it's about time you do because band will resume as soon as you know it. It's almost less than a month before COMPETITION and JBIC!!! Are you all excited?? You should be! Cos we finally get to perform :) I hope that when we resume our practices,you're standards wont drop cos' if it does,then all the work that we've been through the past few months have gone to waste...

Ask anything if you have any doubts because now is the right time to ask..example;music,drills etc. You know what I mean right?

Section Leaders also have the automatic responsibility to take care of your section's standards not only their music but their conduct in band & drills as well. Not only SLs or ASLs but EVERY member in the SECTION. If something's not going right in your section,then better fix the problem fast so that it wont get any bigger.

Did ALL the sec 1s go to the band room last week to take your measurements??? If not,then look for MS PANG to take your measurements okay? Let's say your vest doesnt fit you then of course it makes you feel uncomfortable right? You would want to look your best on stage and also feel COMFORTABLE when playing your music. Yes? No?

I hope all of you used your holidays productively..

Well,it's time to wake up and start to get real serious. I know im repeating it alot of times to you guys but all we have to do is focuse for our upcoming events.!

Sec 1s,Ms loh has been trying to tell all of you to practice and practice for Blue Ridge Saga. ITS YOUR CONCERT you know? your seniors are NOT gonna be there to point to you or help you during the concert!!!!!! All of you are big and responsible enough to know your parts . There will be lots of people watching you okay? It's less than 2 months before JBIC. Please please please keep practicing and practicing your pieces. You really have to get out of your comfort zone and try not to depend on your seniors that often okay? you guys have alot of potential! I know all of you will make us proud ! Think about it, its YOUR CONCERT. You guys can do it! :) Believe in yourself!!

are your ensembles ready yet?? I've seen some improvement yeah? Good job! But its not enough..

We are talking about a ENSEMBLE COMPETITION HERE RIGHT? Of course you would want to win in a competition or even get alot of marks right? So do something about it! Everyone is responsible for their own parts. You seniors already know that since Day 1. Have the standard like the one we had during SYF! We should step up and set a good example to our juniors. Been telling you alot of times lately but really, we are the SENIORS NOW. Yes,some of our sec 4 seniors came back and help but what can they do? It's not their competition right? Its yours and you yourself have to make things happen.But whatever it is that's stopping all of you, you guys will do a great job but try not to mess things up..all of you can do it for sure. :)) its time to be more serious and focuse for now. Hey people.

There are some new rules that has been set.

IN A YEAR, ONE CAN ONLY SUBMITTED 3 LETTERS FOR ATTENDANCE.

because if you don't do that, it VERY UNFAIR for those who come for band practice despite having CA's/SA's and holidays... and i have to report you to the teachers... which i do not want to do.

Those that has a post in band, don't you feel ashamed of yourself when you skip band? Even those who do not have any post are setting a better example than you in terms of attendance.

you have to set a good example. Don't you want them to respect you? RESPECT IS NOT WHAT YOU ASK FOR, RESPECT IS SOMETHING YOU EARN.

Please lead by example. show some improvements in attendance. surely our juniors can all follow your examples , come up with a reason not to come as well... if that happens, then what will happen to our band?

Become pathetically weak and become even worse than now? do you want that?

I hope you're not using it for the wrong reasons. Because, this again, will be leave the juniors with bad impression on us. The seniors.

Why? because we confiscate juniors phone when they use, but we ourselves use it.

Hey Everyone,

as you know i'm completely disappointed with all of you especially the sec 1s. What happened to your drills after the long holiday? Now,we have to go back to square one. And seniors? Most of you,not everyone,are leading a bad example for the sec 1s. Can you all at least ACT LIKE A SENIOR?

Some of you really set a good example,but we're talking about the WHOLE band here people.

Can't all of you do your best during every practice? The Drills Instructors and the Bandmajors do not need to shout at you and tell what you all have to do right? You all are seniors already leh..

Do what you have to do!! Don't expect all of us to cover up for you and do your job right? That's why you guys have a RESPONSIBILITY to uphold! And one more thing,if our sec 4 seniors see us like this,they will be really mad at us you know! They will blame themselves because they feel that they didnt taught us enough. You want that to happen is it?? Our seniors did so much for us,now is the time to show them what we can do. We can't disappoint them..ever..

Anyways,as you know sec 1s are having their performance on 2nd August right? I expect all SLs,ASLs,Student conductors and seniors to be responsible for your junior's parts. Make sure they take this sectional time seriously and teach them correctly.I dont want anyone to teach them the wrong things then we get scolded in the end. Practice and go through with them part by part. No matter how long it takes,we have to make sure our juniors play properly and confidently on the stage. Always be there to SUPPORT them.

Another thing,Senior's ensemble competition!

I know most of you received your pieces already. So what are you waiting for?

Do you guys want your instrument and your scores to rot? Start practicing seriously now. We cannot always be the band who lags behind. We have to change our ATTITUDE. And you all have to start the ball rolling and be a good role model to the sec 1s okay??

We go for the competition to WIN am i right? Obviously,i know you guys dont want to be the last in position so better start working hard now. Better be safe than sorry.

Everyone still have lots of room for improvement especially your drills and movement. I know you guys have a lot of potential. But it depends if you're lazy or not. So please understand & give a thought about it. All of you will make alot of difference if you just give in and do your job properly. It will be really worth it in the end,trust me. You all can do it!!

POP was 3 days ago, so your sec 4 seniors finally stepped down. Yeah, this post is late. And this is my last post! :D

To the next committee (and the band members), it is your band now. Your alumni will always be there for the band, but it is, I repeat, your band now. It is your turn to take over the steering wheel and bring the band on to greater things.

I (and I'm sure all the other alumni too) do NOT want any of that dramatic nonsense you guys tend to have every time anymore. Please put aside your differences and work together as a committee for the good of the band, not just your personal achievements, pretty please?

If anything goes wrong, the alumni will rise from our graves (as Mr Lim said) and come back. Want that? :)

I want to highlight to you guys that I am extremely proud of you all to be able to reach this standard. You cannot say that we did improve compared to last year, right?

Don't be too disappointed or satisfied with the Silver. Either way, build up on what your seniors did and continue to bring the band up to greater heights. SYF is not everything, so yeah.

For SYF participants,

Sec 2s - It's your first SYF, but not your first competition. So do your best okay? Prove to yourselves that you can be as capable as your seniors.

Sec 3s - It's your only SYF unless you take part when you are sec 5. So if it is your last SYF in secondary school, cherish it. It is your last chance to take part in a SYF unless you join a performing group in JC. Don't waste it and regret it!

Sec 4s - This SYF is the end result of our 3-4 years in band. So......much like the sec 3s, let's all cherish this chance to perform on stage all right? Our last chance to do something for Peirce Wind Symphony. Give it your all, and further yourselves in your musical skills at the same time. Show everyone that the PWS Sec 4s are worth something!

It is 10 days before SYF. Just 10.

For these 10 days, pleasepleasePLEASE practice very hard. Look at this chart:

Gold 80% and above

Silver 70% to 79%

Bronze 60% to 69%

Certificate of Participation 59% and below

Imagine if we get 69.99%. Just that 0.01% could push us to Silver. Or we got 79.99%. Just that 0.01% could push us to a Gold too. So why not just put in the effort and make up for all the 0.01%s in the entire 100% (get what i mean)?

The next week is the final lap, the final push. I know you guys have tests, homework and exams, but do persevere. Remember that the SYF is NO reason for your studies to suffer.

10 days left as of 1 April 2011 excluding 11 April itself. SYF is already reaching. Give it your all. Let's do it together. Have pride in ourselves. (:

Hi band,

I don't know how you feel now. Maybe some people feel unmotivated, some feel down, some feel heck care. But all I want to say is, we are almost there, don't give up.

Just push yourselves a little more, just that amount of effort to get your intonation with others right, to get your rhythms accurate, to play in style.

If you are able to do it sometimes, I don't see why you can't do it everytime.

5 days to sound check.

24 days to SYF, which is about 3 weeks. About 9 band practices left.

Remember that Gold is our target right? I know that the process matters more, but in the end, we know that the coughschoolcough only cares about the outcome, so give it your all. Better award = higher possibility of funding, you want that right.

I have seen effort from most of you. I have seen improvement too. So just put in that extra bit of effort and push yourself beyond what you think you can do, all right? (:

Hi band,

The exchange at Anglican High wasn't too good and I'm sure that YOU guys know it yourself.

Are you sure that you gave your all for that exchange? If you don't even put in effort for a small performance like this, how can I (and you yourself) be sure that you will put in effort for the SYF?

One problem I have observed is that you guys don't really practice the parts that you do NOT know. No use playing one part nice and not knowing how to play the next part at all right? Also, do you really think the correct parts are really correct? Like the beginning of Sinfonia, have you actually taken the time to take out a tuner to check your notes?

I have never seen some sections having sectionals before. Please, commit yourself to SYF for now. It is already MARCH. We only have about 1 month. 1 MONTH. Approximately 12 PRACTICES. Are you guys really ready for this?

I hear you guys saying that you want a Gold. The gold won't just drop from the sky and land in front of our feet. What you say are just empty words if you don't put any action into it. It's like a history test. You can say you want to get an A1 but if you don't study for it, confirm don't know how to write any essays and fail horribly right?

I still see numerous parts with the entire section not knowing how to play. If you guys know that it IS wrong, why don't you fix it? So you are satisfied with how wrong you are eh?

Hi band! Long time since an update hor?

The exchange is THIS saturday, as all of you should know. Are we truly prepared for it? It is already February, about 2 months before the SYF.

I know that all of you have other priorities like tests, homework, tuition and dunno what else, but do set some time aside for band on days without practices. Try to play your instrument everyday. If you really have no time, just 10 minutes doing scales and running through your weaker parts in the pieces is enough. At least you will keep in touch with your instrument.

If you have time, go through your rhythms (you should have done this long time ago), get a tuner and check your notes, get your running notes right if you have them etcetc.

These last few days before the exchange is really crunch time. If you want to sound horrible on Saturday, continue what most of you have been doing. If you want to sound better on Saturday, really, work harder. I know this post might be a little too late but...better late than never right?

If NPCC can go from a bronze to silver (congrats to them :D), we can go from a silver to gold. It all boils down to how much effort and time you are willing to invest into this. I know you guys can do it as you have shown that all of you are capable of much more in the past. Live up to your full potential and make yourself, everyone else and your music learning happy okay?

Imagine if Mr Sim announces that we get gold and are the first performing arts CCA to get it. Shiok right. Not saying that the other CCAs can't get gold but you get my point. Think about the result that you want.

Our next thing is SYF'11! Are you excited? Nervous? Scared? Thrilled? Anyway, we all know what we want right? You guys said it yourself so many times. Gold!

Then again, do more than you talk. Show that you are willing to work for that gold by actually practicing using a metronome and tuner. Prac hard and study hard ah! Band is definitely not an excuse for your results to drop. If CCA was a factor in results, all those people who pon CCA should be getting like top student or what already right? Speaking of that, remember that tests and homework is NOT a valid reason to skip band.

You know how we played for today's exchange. It was not all bad, of course. There were positive points, but there were also negative points. I shall focus more on the negative points.

I'm not going to pinpoint every single mistake made, because that will be stupid. No use crying over spilled milk. But we all know that we could and should have done better, because we did better before. So, what was the cause of this?

Some might say it's the heat. But I think that is a very pathetic reason. Feeling uncomfortable? Shrug it off and ignore it! Don't tell me you have so little willpower. You are better than that, right?

Very long never touch instrument. Well...that is your fault for not practicing.

Distracted by surroundings. Refer to the first 'heat' reason.

Tired after sectionals. That might be true. If you really had been playing non-stop during sectionals. I can't blame you for this.

Complacency. I think this should be the reason. Maybe some bands did not play very well, but please remember that they received the piece later than us and that we were at that standard. I saw people laughing talking, just fooling around. Not looking at your scores. Do ALL of you regret it? I don't think so. Because right after our performance, people were STILL laughing and talking. Reflect a little can? Did you think you performed up to your maximum potential?

Please. Do you still want to be treated as the underdog band? Do you like that feeling? We could have used this chance to prove that we could actually play something else other than flight of valor. But we wasted it. Again.

By next monday, you will most probably be getting two new scores, Sinfonia Nobilissima and Navigations. Please treat this seriously, even if we might not be playing these pieces. Take it as a chance to improve and expose yourself.

So we are back from Taiwan. HAPPY RIGHT? So now you know how it feels to have a successful performance. Remember what Mr Lim said, do not dwell on the mistakes you made, but celebrate the things you did right. Be positive. As of this post, it is a Sunday and we have about 3 days left to the Taiwan trip. You heard what Mr Lim said. The Taiwanese band there expects aloooooooooooot from us after seeing our repertoire because it is not easy. I'm sure you all know that it is indeed not easy by now.

I'm also sure that you know that we are not fully prepared for this performance. We still have manymanymany things unattended to and not talked about because there is not enough time.

So, for these few days, let go of all other distractions (games, go out too much, sleep, homework hehe) and focus more (not entirely) on band. These last 3 days are your last chance to figure out your rhythm (something which you should have done ages ago), get your running notes right, etcetc. Basically, your last chance to make everything better.

So, go to Taiwan and enjoy yourself, but remember what our main purpose there is. I know this post makes no sense. Haha. Okay, jiayou!

Today's band practice wasn't exactly...productive. We only have 18 days as of today to the Taiwan trip, and yet rhythm is still not solved.

And not all of you do something about it. Most of you just whine and say the rhythm is hard, you can't do it. So why don't you just take a metronome out and use it? Do you think the metronome is useless? Do you think you are above it, too good to use it? Or you don't want to use your brains to follow the metronome to figure out your rhythm? When you receive your scores, one of the first thing you should solve is the rhythm. It is the most BASIC thing in there. If you aren't able to count simple rhythms like crotchets, quavers and minums, you know that you have a lot to work on. Are you trying to tell everyone that your 1/2/3 years of music education taught you nothing?

Don't you guys feel tired of being under-prepared for every single performance this year? Why don't every single one of you work hard, just for a change? For the band to move, we need everyone's effort. I'm sure you heard this many times, but have you actually thought about it? In one ear, out one ear eh? It is very unfair for people who actually did practice and solve problems.

Have you ever experienced a band practice when everyone knew how to play their parts? Do you know how fun it is when you are playing in a musical group that does not need the conductor to teach a certain person/section simple stuff like rhythm, WRONG NOTES and intonation? The group will just keep moving on to more complicated things like chords and musical expression. And you will have a hell of a time enjoying yourself. Because by then, you will be playing music. Not notes.

Any amount of ranting will not change your mind, your attitude. Only you can do so yourself. I can only hope that people will actually visit the band blog instead of facebooking and playing blackshot/maple/dota/*insert game here* and read this and THINK about it. In fact, I bet some of you are rolling your eyes by now and going to go back to whatever you were doing before instead of reflecting. Well, go on. Roll all you want. Or think I'm luo shuo/ma fan. I hope your eyes pop out from rolling or something. Funny how you can be meticulous about stuff on the computer, but not on your music playing.

To those people who have actually been working hard, good job and continue the good work. To those who haven't....up to you to decide.

Seniors, we are left with only 15 DAYS to the MacRitchie performance. It seems like we are going back to the time around NBC period.. As for NBC, we got 78.33 % which is a Silver award. And people on facebook saying we will clinch the GOLD award next time.. Some of you even happy with that Silver.. i was laughing to myself... For the past few practices, we have not been progressing. The same standard when we receive the scores, perhaps a little better.. Everyone, put in some effort to show me/mr lim/ms loh/band teachers and yourself that you want to put up a good show on 15 august. Know why we shout we can and we will ?? Because we can achieve what we want if you all are willing to put effort in it !

Don't be discourage at this point of time.. Instead, you should be practising constantly.. Listen to the songs at least 20 times per song. Familiarise with the song.. I believe we can do it ..

As for sec ones, concentrate on Flight of valor and Twist and shout. Get your rhythmns out. Anything not sure, ask SLs .Same goes to you all.. i believe you all can do it .

And don't say you can't spare $6 too. If you can go eat at KFC/icekimo/mac/godknowswhere every time after band practice, you can spare $6.

edit: Meanwhile, seniors please work hard for the MacRitchie performance. Do you want to go up on stage unprepared again? And remember about the point thing Mr Lim told us. Like your L1R5 like that. Lesser points = (Y). We wouldn't want to accumulate too many points right? So feel uncomfortable and change faster! Oh, and keep quiet during band prac. Talk so much for what. Waste your energy and saliva only. Even if your are whispering, it is still very obvious because there should only be one voice talking at anytime and an extra voice will be very obvious. The BMs have EYES too. Just because you whisper doesn't mean we can't see you using your hands to block your mouth. Not to mention, the lighting in our room is quite good. So shhhh >:(

Congratulations to Peirce Wind Symphony for obtaining a Silver award of the National Band Competition 2010. We obtained a total of 78.33%, 1.67% away from Gold. We might be the (edit: 2nd) highest Silver there, but deep down in all of you, you know that you all are better than that. Don't get complacent with the Silver. I'm sure nobody is, because of all the screw ups all over the place. Maybe you guys were nervous, so you rushed. But remember what Mr Lim said. Treat this as a learning experience for us.

Nobody should be blamed for the screw ups. We are one band.

Now that you (and I) know the feeling of how is it like to get up on stage unprepared, I hope you guys change your attitude towards band. Do what Mr Lim says and you will be safe (but don't feel safe). Have some balls and stop hiding. Work hard consistently and you guys won't be so stressed up when any performance is nearing. A lot of other things I can say, but I can't really think at this time.

Now, get over that. The next event is the performance at the McRitchie Reservoir. Confirmed pieces will be Fire Dance, Blue Sky and Sunshine and Dancing in the Wind. No, don't moan. MARCHES

This is referring to Blue Sky and Sunshine. This post will just be a reduction of the original article.

While there are many forms of march music, all marches must have the following

- Different strains (sections)

- Several separate melodies

- A contrasting section known as the trio

The first section is called the Introduction or fanfare (led by trumpets in the beginning) Compared to the other sections of a march, the introduction is usually the shortest part (4 bars for us). Trumpets, trombones and horns, don't be worried and just play your stuff. Woodwinds with running notes, remember Fujishiro Toshihiro.

The next section is commonly called the first strain, as it is the first prominent melody of the march (introduced by clarinets at A. Please work on the phrasing and getting the higher notes like your Bb in tune!) After the first playing of the strain, it is repeated once, sometimes with added parts such as counter-melodies (flutes come in an octave up. eupho and tenor sax plays counter-melody at B) Sometimes, the first strain is played again once again after the second strains have been played. Oh, and remember the 'hahaha' thing for those staccatos. And lady-like.

The second strain is usually 16 bars long and is the second primary melody of the march (introduced by trumpets and saxophones at C). I know our second strain isn't that long. The second strain is 4 bars long before woodwinds take over the melody for 4 bars in a separate melody. After C, at D, it goes back to the first strain with clarinets, saxophones and xylophone playing the melody. At E, the first strain is played again by clarinets and trumpets with eupho, tenor sax, alto sax playing counter-melodies. At C, play marcato. Loud and strong. Maybe except for the running notes. But make sure they can be heard. Running notes are there for a reason. They build up the lines. This is the 3rd time the clarinets are playing this melody, so trumpets should remember the 'hahaha' thing too.

A short introduction to the trio is heard. This introduction to the trio is a repeat of the first introduction. At F. Note that not all marches have this. It is followed by a separate melody which is never used after that at 2 bars played by the whole band before Trio. Trumpets and trombones MUST get their rhythm correct one bar before trio. Remember what Mr Lim said about playing it out so that the trio melody come out unexpectedly?

The third primary melody in a march is called the trio. The trio is described as the main melody of the march. It is often played legato style in a softer dynamic, and features woodwinds more than brass (introduced by saxophones and clarinets). The trio is the most contrasting section, often containing variations of motifs heard in the previous two strains (from H, lower brass and lower woodwinds play a melody similar to the one introduced in C). It then returns to the melody of the first strain for 4 bars before returning to the trio melody, now with eupho and tenor sax playing counter melody and flutes playing another counter melody. Phrasing is important here. Without it, this section sounds deeeeeead. Wouldn't want that right?

From here on, the piece doesn't seem to follow the format. Maybe it does and I can't follow. From K, the trumpets, trombones and alto saxophones plays the melody while the eupho and tenor sax are echoing some lines. Higher woodwinds have moving notes. Higher woodwinds should tone down and let the brasses take over. Oh, even though it says f as a dynamic, remember not to blast or overplay and go flat. At the end of L, it tones down and....

Woodwinds play the trio melody again, but with some harmony this time. The lower brass are playing the counter melody. To match the grand(er) sound of the counter melody, woodwinds should play marcato. This leads to tension building chords 3 bars before M.

And M goes back to the introduction, but with woodwind trills this time. Don't see trills and go crazy and just blast, especially clarinets. Your high C trills can pierce through ears. Just 3 bars before the end, high woodwinds have running note to lead the band to the end. Please, pleasepleaseplease figure out your running notes. Remember, the judges can see you. The piece finally closes with lower brasses/woodwinds, horns and saxophones all playing a concert Bb strongly. Marcato style.

There are a lot more things to say, but I can't recap them all. Please work hard for NBC. Look at the countdown to the left. How many days are left?

Since you guys brought home your instruments, practice k? Don't bring it back and let it rot or collect dust till the exams are over. Remember, just 15 minutes a day. That's enough. I'm sure you can spare 15 minutes if you can sit in front of the TV/computer for 2 hours.

For all seniors, remember to practice your symphonic band technique 108 to 116! And all those pieces too. Remember what Mr Lim said? We must prove to everyone (including him) that we can play pieces with weird rhythms like Samba De Loves You.

For Samba, use a metronome. You can find alot of metronomes online.

Costa, remember that bar 9 IS FASTER than the beginning. Bar 17 to 27, look at Mr Lim, as the part speeds up by ALOT. The transition in time signature from 118 to 119, look at Mr Lim too. Don't drag in 119. Oh, remember to practice playing at pp for the note one bar before 146 :)

I'm sure you can practice the others yourself.

The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra

The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra is a Grammy Award-winning classical music chamber orchestra based in New York City. It is well known for its collaborative leadership style, in which the musicians, not a conductor, interpret the score.

Marching shoes for males! If you need one pair, ask your sls to ask their alumni to see if they have. If not, ask them to give your shoe size and we will get them for you or you go buy yourself! :)))

Heels can be bought from Bugis! dont buy too high ones! :)))) Remember to buy your proper attire for Speech day! Dont worry, this will be the fixed band uniform for everybody! So you can everytime rewear, reuse and recycle! :)))) The 3 Rs!

Next thursday will be the combined speech day rehersal with the band. So get your attire fast fast before 9 april! :)

We have so little time, so much to do. Yet, no matter how many times I say this to you all, you guys don't seem to care. Last friday I managed to get band room opened. I apologise for informing you guys at a really late time. However, since YOUR common tests are over, shouldn't we be concentrating on the upcoming speech day? It was rather disappointing to see that less than 8 seniors turned up last friday to actually do some practicing.

I wanted to tell you guys about it during fall out, however one band teacher was there. If I told you guys in her presence, what do you think she will think about our band? The pathetic bm actually had to begged the teachers to open for the sake of the band and so little people turned up? It was really embarressing when I told the teacher that majority of the band members will definitely turned up to practice.

To think that I trusted in you guys too much. In fact, I had such high hopes on everybody and it was completely destroyed like that. It was something very upset to me. Why did I bother begging and pestering teachers to open the band room for you guys when you all don't even bother to come? Aren't I just wasting my time?

I just hope you guys will put in more effort in preparing for the upcoming Speech day. We really DONT HAVE MUCH TIME.
